Six Degrees, Inc. was conceived when two free thinking entrepreneurs, Barbara Klemme and Liz Nelson,
got together and found that they had compatible ideas and goals. The company and the web sites were developed with a burning desire to bring the beautiful and the unusual to the world marketplace. We feel that this is what makes the world wide web so great. Anyone and everyone with the ability to access the web can see, learn and buy just about anything.
Small micro entrepreneurs and those small business owners who run businesses on their own many times do not have the resources in time or money to
devote to accessing and marketing their products on the web.
Plus, the learning curve of how, what and to whom to market products to, is high. Without sites such as this, the world would not be exposed to these unusual and wonderful items.
When Barbara and Liz decided to work on the web site ExecutiveGiftsWithTaste.com, they hoped to intertwine educational games with unusual and beautiful hand made items. Since its first concept, the site has grown to include artists, artisans
and small business owners with specialty merchandise not easily found elsewhere. This site is ideal for one of a kind items and antiques, daily changes are easily handled.

Liz Nelson
An entrepreneur for over 20 years.
"Never had a 'real' job, wouldn't know what to do with all the time." I would rather be on the phone and the computer, have access to anyone and anything and no one knows where I am. Maybe at my farm in North Dakota (that's right, I'm a farm girl at heart) at my house in Minnesota (the Midwest is ingrained) or on the beach in Florida (under an umbrella and with plenty of sun block) I can still work and access the world.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a BA in Art History and French, (CLA can get you anywhere), a certificate in Interior Design, (my house
is still not done). Extensive seminars on self-employment, marketing, telesales, real estate and investments.
Liz has worked in the fields of:
- real estate (14 years-broker/owner),
- optical (co-owner of a dispensary, 12 years),
- direct sales/importing (co-founder of a niche market importing firm-3 years),
- retail stores (owner of a paint, wallpaper and picture framing business as well as a specialty women's art gallery- 5 years)
- seminar promoter for a national speaker (2 years)
- jewelry sales-(off and on for 13 years, more a hobby than anything) both retail and wholesale
- rep for limited edition art, jewelry, cellular phones, & health related products
My hobbies and interests include, but are not limited to:
- antiques
- travel and exploration
- remodeling houses
- jewelry design
- figuring out storage space for too much stuff
My favorite traits are:
- Sense of humor
- Ability to work within the system enough to be successful but with the natural ability to think outside the box
- Self-employed all my life enjoying a freedom that not many people achieve
- Learned to live well, within my income, whatever it may be
- Ability to motivate others and bring out the best in associates that I have managed.
